EOI API allows for secure, real-time EOI decisioning on a benefit technology partner’s platform when required by an elected Guardian benefit.  Employees who are required to submit EOI will be presented with the required health questions during their benefit shopping experience and will receive instant notification of approval or referral to underwriting.  If the employee requires underwriting review, the benefit technology partner can call Guardian’s system for EOI transaction status updates.

EOI Process

 

The Benefits  API endpoints provide secure, real-time access to  read and update  employee and dependent benefit data.   Once a Guardian policy is established, our benefit technology partners are able to use the Member Benefits API endpoints to enroll and terminate employees, make updates to employee records such as adding dependents and processing demographic and benefit  changes, and retrieve employee, dependent, and benefit information for data synchronization.  Member Benefits APIs use the LIMRA Data Exchange (LDEx) Standards.

Benefits Process

 

The Policy API end points provide secure, real -time access to Guardian benefit plan information including all of the insurance product rules, attributes, and rates required to configure a Guardian plan on a benefit technology partner’s platform.  Once a Guardian policy is sold and implemented, the benefit technology partner is able to pull all of the product and plan information, configure their platform, and begin employee enrollment, reducing implementation effort, time, and errors. The Policy API endpoints can be used anytime changes are made to a policy’s products and rates.

Policy Process

 

Retail Individual Products API allow real -time Quote and Product Info made available through higher level capabilities vs. lower-level APIs which requires intimate system knowledge. An Orchestration Layer will make it easier for Retail products to be sold through various distribution channels. New Distribution partner have been identified and the real time integration example will be used to inform the Orchestration Layer build.

1.Retail Enrollment 

The Retail Enrollment API provides approved partners the ability to call and send new Dental enrollments to the Guardian Retail administrative system. This will include necessary subscriber/member information, plan selection, etc.  

2.Retail Add Dependent 

The Retail Add Dependent API allows approved partners the ability to add dependents (spouse, children, etc.)  to existing Dental policies. This information will update the corresponding policy in the Guardian Retail Admin system. 

3.Retail Delete Dependent 

The Retail Delete Dependent API allows approved partners the ability to delete dependents (spouse, children, etc.) from existing Dental policies. This information will update the corresponding policy in the Guardian Retail Admin system.  

4.Retail Update Customer Information 

The Retail Update Customer Information API allows approved partners to edit/update customer information (Name, Address, etc.) on existing Dental policies. This information will update the corresponding policy in the Guardian Retail Admin System.  

5.Retail Reinstatement 

The Retail Reinstatement API allows approved partners to send Dental policy reinstatement requests meeting specific parameters. This information will update the corresponding policy in Guardian Retail Admin System.   

6.Retail Cancellation 

The Retail Cancellation API allows approved partners to send policy cancelation information for existing Dental policies. This information will update the corresponding policy in the Guardian Retail Admin System.   

7.Retail Status API 

The Retail Status API can be called my approved partners to check individual Dental policy status and confirm customer/policy information housed within the Guardian Retail Admin System. 

The Group Rating & Quoting API endpoints provide secure, real-time access to request and retrieve a quote for Guardian products. The technology partner can request a quote for any product by supplying specific details regarding the Broker, Policy Holder, products, census, and additional documents. Once the proposal is ready, an API notification will trigger back to the technology platform. Once the notification is received, the technology partner can retrieve the requested quote, the retrieval of the proposal will include a PDF output of the data. The Group Rating & Quoting API can be utilized anytime to request a new quote or change an existing request
